January 8, 2008 - Matthew Rychlo, a grade 5 student at Immaculate Conception School, and goalie for the Valley East Rebels Major Atom A team, was lucky enough to participate in the world's largest ice hockey tournament, THE OTTAWA BELL CAPITAL CUP, last week.
Matthew and the Rebels got to live out their dream of playing on an NHL ice surface, the home of the Ottawa Senators. The Rebels won the Major A Championship after his shutout against the Port Perry Predators. The team is now ranked Number 3 in Ontario. Cogratulations Matthew! |
