Our Programs

Healthy Breakfast, Snack and Lunch Programs

Immaculate Conception School believes in providing students with healthy nutrition programs. With the funds received from the Breakfast for Learning and Childhood Enfance programs, we offer students healthy continental breakfasts, fresh fruit and vegetables for morning snacks and extra lunch foods to compliment student lunches. We believe that students need to eat healthy foods to help them focus on learning to succeed. We are so grateful for the Catholic Women's League at St. Kevin's Parish for their support, commitment and dedication to these programs.

Charity Programs for Children

Immaculate Conception students and staff participate in a number of charity programs for children in our community and around the world. We support the Holy Childhood Association, an international organization dedicated to raising funds which go towards orphanages, schools, hospitals, refugee camps and developmentally disabledcentres; Easter Seals Kids, a local organization which is dedicated to raising funds for children with physical disabilities; Coats for Kids program; and Ryan's Well Foundation, dedicated to building wells and providing clean water in developing countries.

Immaculate Conception School is a Green School

The staff and students at Immaculate Conception School do their part to be green. We have a Green Team made up of students, teacher, custodian and principal who organize and maintain our recycling program. It is our job to get everyone hooked on recycling, reusing, reducing and regreening. Every Wednesday, we encourage Litterless Lunches; this program measures how much waste is going into the garbage. It is our goal to reduce our garbage waste everyday.

I Will Stand Up: I Have Your Back

Students and staff at Immaculate Conception School are continuously working on creating a positive school climate for all. It is our goal to help all members feel safe, welcome and accepted. In our school, we work on promoting positive and inclusive relationships in classrooms, school yard and buses. Bullying is formally addressed in classrooms, student assemblies and during social skills workshops. Students are learning effective strategies to deal with conflict and to help others who are being bullied.

Family Faith, Literacy and Numeracy Days

Immaculate Conception School encourages parents to come into the school to celebrate our Catholic faith, read together, count together and play together. It is our goal make time for families to come together during the school day to learn together as a family. Parents know that the best way to support their child's learning is to be actively involved in their child's education.

Immaculate Conception: Parents Reaching Out

Our Catholic School Council encourages all parents to be more actively involved in their child's education. Our school received a Parents Reaching Out grant to engage more parents in support of student achievement, well-being, health and safety.
